Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef at our renowned restaurant in Herzliya, you will be responsible for creating and executing delectable desserts and pastries that will leave our guests wanting more. Your passion for baking combined with your creativity and attention to detail will be the key to your success in this role. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standard, meeting the expectations of our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new and innovative dessert and pastry recipes that reflect current food trends
- Prepare a variety of desserts and pastries, such as cakes, breads, cookies, macarons, tarts, etc.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary ingredients in a timely manner
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of all pastry items
- Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked pastry station at all times
- Train new pastry team members on techniques and recipes
- Collaborate with other chefs to create harmonious menus
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients and equipment
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts while maintaining their flavor profile
- Excellent time management skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
- Team player with good communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Salary: $1400/month
