DevOps Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Developer to join our team in Svalbard. As a DevOps Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions that bridge the gap between software development and IT operations. You will work closely with our development team to streamline processes and ensure efficient deployment of applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience with automation tools and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation processes for deployment, testing, and monitoring of applications
- Collaborate with developers to optimize code for production environments
- Manage cloud infrastructure and configure services such as EC2, S3, and RDS
- Develop scripts for automated deployment of applications across various environments
- Troubleshoot issues related to application deployment or performance
- Monitor system health and ensure high availability of applications
- Stay current with industry trends and new technologies related to DevOps

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Salary: 1700$ per month (without accommodation)

Location: Svalbard (own visa required)
