Collector for Debt Collection Agency in Bungoma, Kenya

As a Collector for our debt collection agency in Bungoma, Kenya, you will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts. You will use various methods of communication, such as phone calls and emails, to reach out to debtors and negotiate payment plans. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations. Previous experience in debt collection is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a commission-based position with a starting salary of $1200 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Contact individuals and businesses with outstanding debts through phone calls and emails
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and payments made
- Monitor payment arrangements and follow up with delinquent accounts
- Report any potential legal issues or concerns to management
- Meet monthly collection targets set by the company

Requirements:
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Previous experience in debt collection preferred
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and sensitivity
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Biometric passport required for international travel
- Must be comfortable working on a commission-based salary structure
