Preservation Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Oslo. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures to their original form while ensuring they meet modern safety and building codes. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, preparing preservation plans, obtaining necessary permits, overseeing construction projects, and working closely with clients and contractors. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architecture, experience with historic preservation projects, and excellent project management skills. A biometric passport is required for this position. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per week.
As a Preservation Architect, you will play a crucial role in preserving the cultural heritage of Oslo by protecting its historic buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations for each project. Your attention to detail and knowledge of architectural styles from different time periods will be essential in creating accurate preservation plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys of historic buildings and structures
- Prepare preservation plans that meet modern safety standards

- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 3 years of experience working on historic preservation projects
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD or other design software
- Ability to research architectural styles from different time periods
