Network and Systems Administrator
Location: Sheduva, Kenya


We are a rapidly growing company seeking a highly skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Sheduva. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network and computer systems to ensure smooth operations. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting network issues, installing new hardware and software, and ensuring data security. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Network and Systems Administrator
- Proficient in network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with server administration (Windows/Linux)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong understanding of security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Monitor network performance and optimize as needed
- Maintain data backups and implement disaster recovery plans
- Manage user accounts and permissions on the network
- Install new software/hardware as needed
- Ensure data security by implementing appropriate measures (firewalls, access controls)
- Provide technical support to end-users as needed
