Librarian Assistant



As a Librarian Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of our library in Bansko. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about books and information.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the circulation of library materials, including checking books in and out, shelving items, and maintaining accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service to library patrons by answering questions, recommending books, and assisting with technology
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the library by keeping shelves tidy and ensuring materials are in their proper place
- Assist with collection development by identifying new books and resources to add to the library's collection
- Conduct basic cataloging and classification of new materials using our library system
- Support library programs and events by helping with set-up, clean-up, and other tasks as needed
- Provide support to the Librarian in managing administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, updating records, and creating reports

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This is a full-time position located in Bansko. Preference will be given to Indian nationals.
