Contract Librarian in Muharraq


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Librarian to join our team in Muharraq. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing library materials, assisting patrons with research requests, and maintaining the library's collection.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the circulation of library materials, including checking books in and out, processing new materials, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist patrons with research requests and provide guidance on how to use library resources effectively.
- Organize and maintain the library's physical and digital collections.
- Develop and implement programs that promote literacy and encourage reading among library patrons.
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and execute events such as book clubs, author talks, and workshops.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement new technologies to enhance the library's services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Biometric passport for easy travel arrangements is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using library management software.
- Flexibility to work on a contract basis without prior experience.
