Metal Worker

A metal worker is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and installing metal structures and components. They use a variety of tools and techniques to cut, shape, and join metal pieces together. The job may involve working with different types of metal such as steel, aluminum, or copper. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in metalworking, be physically fit, and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine project requirements
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using tools such as rulers and markers
- Cut or shape metal pieces using various tools including saws, shears, or plasma cutters
- Weld or solder metal pieces together using appropriate techniques
- Grind or smooth rough edges on finished products
- Install finished products on construction sites according to specifications
- Repair damaged metal structures or components
- Inspect final products for quality control purposes

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a metal worker or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately
- Familiarity with different types of welding techniques (e.g. MIG, TIG)
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and equipment
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Safety-conscious mindset when working with potentially hazardous materials

Location: This position is located in Ashdod, a port city in southern Israel known for its industrial sector.

Salary: $1700 per month

Contract Type: This is a contract job with the potential for long-term employment depending on performance.

Language Requirements: English proficiency is preferred but not required.

Experience Level: No prior experience in metalworking is necessary for this position. However, candidates with relevant training or apprenticeships will be given preference.
