Database Administrator


As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our database systems to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot database solutions. Your role will also involve ensuring data security and creating backup plans in case of system failures. The ideal candidate should have experience in database management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time position based in Utena, with the option for remote work after an initial training period.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures according to business needs
- Monitor database performance and make necessary optimizations
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and regular backups
- Collaborate with development team to optimize queries and improve performance
- Develop and maintain documentation of database processes and procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to database management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, or other database languages
- Experience with database design, optimization, maintenance, and recovery strategies
- Familiarity with data security standards and best practices
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Microsoft Azure SQL Database
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
