Instrument Technician

We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and control systems used in industrial and commercial settings. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues, perform routine inspections, and ensure all instruments are functioning properly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instruments and control systems
- Troubleshoot issues with instruments and control systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify any potential problems
- Calibrate instruments according to specifications
- Replace faulty parts or components as needed
- Keep accurate records of maintenance performed and inventory levels
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on projects
- Follow all safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician
- Strong technical skills with the ability to read schematics and diagrams
- Experience working with various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, etc.
- Knowledge of PLC programming is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English (Norwegian language skills are also a plus)
