Accountant for International Contract Position in Jerusalem


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our international team in Jerusalem. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and conducting regular audits to ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an international setting, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, and payroll
- Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly and annual basis
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of our financial records
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and communicate any discrepancies or issues to management
- Monitor cash flow and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Keep up-to-date with local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven work experience as an Accountant in an international setting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Experience with Nepali or Kenyan accounting practices is preferred

Salary: $1200/month (negotiable based on experience)

Contract: 6 months with potential for extension
