Crane Operator
The City Crane Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of cranes at construction sites in Nakuru. They will be required to move materials, equipment, and supplies to designated locations using the crane. The ideal candidate will have experience operating different types of cranes and must possess a valid crane operator's license. The job may require working in different weather conditions and at varying heights, so the candidate must be physically fit and able to work in challenging environments. Accommodation and visa sponsorship can be provided for the right candidate. This is a part-time position with a salary of 900$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes, including tower cranes, mobile cranes, and overhead cranes
- Inspect crane before use to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating the crane
- Move materials, equipment, and supplies to designated locations as directed by the site manager
- Communicate with other workers on the construction site to ensure safe movement of materials
- Keep accurate records of materials moved and hours worked
- Perform routine maintenance on the crane as needed
Requirements:
- Valid crane operator's license
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating different types of cranes
- Ability to read and understand load charts and blueprints
- Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience operating cranes in construction sites or industrial settings
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to crane operation
- Familiarity with Nakuru city roads and traffic patterns
