Sous Chef
We are in search of a skilled and talented Sous Chef to join our team at our high-end restaurant in Monte-Carlo. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Your creativity and passion for cooking will be key in developing new menu items and maintaining our reputation for exceptional cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and implement new menu items
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Monte-Carlo (accommodation provided if needed)
Nationality preference: No specific preference, but must have valid work permit for Monaco.
