Mason - Construction Worker

We are hiring a skilled Mason to join our construction team in Remish, Africa. As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures made of brick, stone, and concrete. Your duties will include mixing and applying mortar, laying bricks or stones according to blueprints or plans, and shaping and trimming them as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of construction techniques and safety procedures. You must also have excellent hand-eye coordination, physical strength, and stamina to work long hours in all weather conditions. Prior experience in masonry or a related field is required.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints or plans to determine the materials needed for the project
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning them and laying out the necessary tools
- Mix mortar according to specifications
- Lay bricks or stones in an orderly manner using mortar as an adhesive
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and hammers to shape and trim bricks or stones
- Check that the structure is level and plumb using levels and plumb bobs
- Apply finishing touches such as pointing joints between bricks or stones using specialized tools
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with construction materials, tools, methods, and safety procedures
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise workmanship
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent

We offer competitive salary of 1800$ per month for this full-time position.
