Senior Architect (Part-Time) - Svalbard

As a Senior Architect in our firm, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of various building projects in Svalbard. You will work on a part-time basis, allowing for flexible scheduling and the opportunity to pursue other projects or personal interests. Your expertise in architectural design and project management will be essential in ensuring the success of each project. This is an urgent position, requiring a candidate with excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently. As this is a part-time role, it is open to both local applicants and those with their own visa. Accommodation will not be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design process, from initial concept to final construction plans
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for each project
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control
- Manage project budget and resources effectively
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials and techniques
- Mentor junior architects and provide guidance on projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an architect
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other architectural software
- Knowledgeable about building codes, regulations, and standards in Svalbard
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
