Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in the bustling city of New York, USA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually stunning pastries, as well as strong leadership skills to oversee our pastry team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute innovative and high-quality pastry dishes for our menu.
- Oversee the production and preparation of all pastry items.
- Train and supervise the pastry team, ensuring that they maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Order and maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new menu items that incorporate pastries.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and ingredients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques and recipes.
- Creativity and ability to develop new pastry dishes.
- Good leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in a high-volume restaurant or bakery environment.
- Nationality: Open (must be legally authorized to work in the US).
Salary: $1200 per week (negotiable depending on experience).
