Land Surveyor
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and measurements to determine property boundaries, topography, and other important data for construction or land development projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys using various tools and equipment such as GPS devices, total stations, and drones
- Analyze survey data to create maps, charts, and reports
- Determine property boundaries and prepare legal documents
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accuracy of survey data
- Make adjustments to survey methods as needed based on changing conditions or obstacles
- Maintain accurate records of survey data and ensure proper storage and organization
- Adhere to safety protocols while conducting surveys in various environments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in land surveying or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a land surveyor
- Proficient in using GPS devices, total stations, and other surveying tools
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and codes related to land surveying in Norway
- Must be able to provide own accommodations in Alta
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.
Location:
This role is located in Alta, a city in northern Norway known for its beautiful natural surroundings such as the Northern Lights. Candidates who are already located in Norway will be given preference but all qualified applicants will be considered.
