Heritage Preservation Architect
The Heritage Preservation Architect will be responsible for overseeing the preservation, maintenance, and restoration of historical buildings and structures in the city of Siauliai. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced architect with a deep understanding of architectural history and preservation techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for protecting and promoting cultural heritage, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings to determine their condition
- Developing preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborating with construction teams to oversee restoration projects
- Conducting research on historical architecture, materials, and construction techniques
- Communicating with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and property owners
- Providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance and conservation efforts
- Managing project budgets and timelines
- Staying up-to-date on new preservation technologies and techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on heritage preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history and preservation principles
- Experience with project management and budgeting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Lithuanian is a plus)
