Blast Furnace Operator

We are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used in the production of iron and steel. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnace equipment, including charging systems, tuyeres, and stoves
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates within the furnace to ensure optimal operation
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments as needed to maintain production levels
- Inspect equipment for any signs of wear or damage and report any issues to maintenance team
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with blast furnaces in an industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments as needed
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot and physically demanding environment
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately record data
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this role.
