Metal Fabricator

Our metal fabrication company is seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team in Svalbard. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal products according to blueprints and specifications. This is a contract job with a salary of 1500$, without accommodation provided. We welcome applicants with their own visa.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Determine the materials needed for each project
- Cut, shape, and bend metal pieces using various tools and equipment
- Weld, solder, or bolt pieces together to create finished products
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
- Make adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials

Preferred:
- Certification or degree in welding or metal fabrication
- Experience operating CNC machines
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Familiarity with safety protocols in metalworking
