Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastry preparation and production in our high-end restaurant located in Sheduva, India. Your main duties will include creating and implementing new dessert menus, training and supervising pastry staff, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained at all times. You must have a strong passion for pastry making, excellent leadership skills, and a creative mindset to constantly innovate and elevate our desserts. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1500 per month.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Experience with creating new dessert menus
- Proven ability to lead and train pastry staff
- Knowledge of current industry trends and techniques
Skills:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative thinking and ability to develop unique dessert concepts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Responsibilities:
- Create new dessert menus that incorporate seasonal ingredients and cater to dietary restrictions
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry staff members on proper techniques, recipes, and presentation
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all pastries produced
- Maintain inventory levels for pastry ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination during meal service
- Monitor food costs by accurately measuring ingredients
- Stay updated on current industry trends and techniques
- Maintain a clean work area according to food safety standards
Requirements:
- Degree or certification in Pastry or Culinary Arts preferred
- Valid food handler's certificate
