Pastry Chef at a High-End Bakery in Bergen, Norway
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end bakery in Bergen, Norway. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our customers. You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and maintain the quality and consistency of our current offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake various types of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and garnishing
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Ensure all food products are stored, handled, and prepared safely in accordance with food safety regulations
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques and decorating methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new menu items
- Strong leadership skills
- Fluent in English (Norwegian language skills preferred)
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
