Head Chef - Os, Norway
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Os, Norway. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, a strong understanding of food safety regulations, and excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers
- Control food costs by properly managing inventory and portion sizes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food is prepared efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Oversee ordering and purchasing of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
- Continuously strive to improve menu offerings and overall customer experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1100$ per week.
