Sous Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are looking for an experienced and talented Sous Chef with a passion for Indian cuisine to join our team at our luxury resort in Malindi. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food is consistently delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, costing, and creating new dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and standards set by the resort
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation practices
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Follow budget guidelines set by management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Sous Chef in a fine-dining restaurant or luxury hotel, specializing in Indian cuisine
- Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and flavors
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Valid work permit or visa for employment in Malindi
