We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized Librarian to join our team at our library in Os, Nigeria. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. You will also assist patrons with finding and accessing materials, organizing events and programs, and maintaining the library's digital resources.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field and at least 2 years of experience working in a library setting. Experience with cataloging and classifying materials is preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills are also essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing materials
- Organize events and programs to promote literacy and engage the community
- Maintain the library's digital resources including online databases and e-books
- Catalogue new materials using an electronic system
- Classify materials according to accepted standards
- Ensure that the library is clean, organized, and welcoming to patrons
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement new services or programs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloging and classification systems preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passion for promoting literacy and engaging the community through libraries
