IT Manager - Svalbard


We are in search of an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager to join our team in Svalbard. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's information technology systems and infrastructure. This includes managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the security and efficiency of our networks, and implementing new technologies to support our business operations.

Key responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's information technology systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Manage a team of IT professionals and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and efficiency of our systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend new solutions that can benefit our company.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify their technology needs and provide solutions to improve their processes.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for hardware, software, and other IT services.
- Monitor network performance to identify potential issues or risks and take proactive measures to address them.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, security protocols, and system maintenance.
- Experience managing a team of IT professionals.
- Familiarity with cloud computing services such as AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-tech individuals.

Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month. Accommodation will be provided by the company. We also offer visa sponsorship for international candidates. This is an urgent position so immediate availability is preferred.
