Librarian for Library in Los Angeles, USA


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Librarian to join our library team in Los Angeles, USA. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the library including collection development, cataloging, reference services, and programming.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the library collection by selecting and acquiring materials that meet the needs of the community
- Catalog and classify materials using appropriate systems
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and recommending resources
- Plan and implement engaging programs and events for library users of all ages
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operation of the library
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship and implement new technologies or services as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of different cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Proficient in using technology for research, organization, and programming purposes
- Fluent in Nepali (spoken and written)

Salary: $1000/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Los Angeles, USA (no accommodation provided)
