Pastry Chef - Filipino Cuisine
Our restaurant in Los-Angeles is seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef who specializes in Filipino cuisine. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of traditional and modern Filipino desserts and pastries. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1200 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new and innovative dessert recipes that represent the flavors of the Philippines
- Preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods using traditional techniques
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Ensuring all desserts are presented in an attractive manner that reflects the culture of the Philippines
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all food safety standards
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service of desserts during busy periods
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with expertise in Filipino cuisine
- Knowledge of traditional Filipino ingredients, flavors, and techniques for making desserts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inventory effectively
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited program
- Experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate in Tagalog or other Philippine dialects is preferred but not required
