Metal Worker


We are hiring a skilled Metal Worker to join our team in Washington. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for creating and repairing metal objects using various tools and techniques. Your duties will include measuring and cutting metal pieces, welding or soldering them together, and smoothing the surfaces for a polished finish.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of different metals and their properties, as well as hands-on experience with metalworking tools and machinery. Attention to detail and the ability to follow technical drawings or blueprints are also essential.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark dimensions of metal pieces using rulers, gauges, or templates
- Cut or shape metal pieces using hand tools or machinery such as saws, shears, or presses
- Weld, solder, or braze metal pieces together to create a finished product
- Smooth rough edges or surfaces using grinders or sanders
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Follow technical drawings or blueprints to ensure precise measurements and specifications are met
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Metal Worker or similar role
- Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints
- Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties
- Proficient in using hand tools such as saws, shears, grinders, etc.
- Experience with welding techniques (MIG/TIG) is preferred but not required
- Physical stamina to handle heavy metals and stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month along with accommodation. This is a full-time position with regular working hours from Monday to Friday. No prior experience is required for this role; we are willing to train the right candidate. However, candidates with experience in metalworking or related fields will be given preference.
