Librarian Assistant

The Librarian Assistant will assist the Librarian in managing the library collection, providing reference and research assistance to library patrons, and promoting library resources and services. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a library setting and possess excellent customer service skills. This is a full-time position located in Dickirch, with a salary of $1500 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization, cataloging, and shelving of library materials
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons
- Assist with the maintenance of online databases and electronic resources
- Promote library resources and services through outreach activities such as book clubs and workshops
- Assist with circulation duties including checking materials in and out, issuing library cards, and collecting fines
- Help maintain order and cleanliness in the library
- Collaborate with other staff members on special projects or events
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship and technology to enhance services offered by the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service setting is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Proficiency in using computer systems for cataloging, database management, and internet research
- Knowledge of current trends in librarianship is preferred but not required
