Data Mining Analyst


We are hiring a talented Data Mining Analyst to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data to identify patterns and trends. Your findings will be used to inform business decisions and drive organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data mining using various tools and techniques to extract relevant information from large datasets
- Develop and maintain data mining models and algorithms to support business objectives
- Analyze data for trends, patterns, and anomalies that can provide valuable insights for the company
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data mining strategies accordingly
- Identify areas of improvement in current data mining processes and suggest solutions for optimization
- Present findings in a clear and concise manner through reports, visualizations, or presentations
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data mining techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Data Mining Analyst or similar role
- Strong knowledge of data mining tools such as R, Python, SQL, etc.
- Experience with big data platforms like Hadoop or Spark is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Good communication skills with the ability to present findings effectively

Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)
