Executive Chef - Fine Dining
Our upscale restaurant in Clairvaux is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our fine dining kitchen. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation, as well as managing kitchen staff and maintaining food quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining cuisine and a passion for creating innovative dishes using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute seasonal menus that showcase the best local ingredients
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high quality and efficient service
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the restaurant's high standards
- Oversee inventory management and ordering to minimize waste and control costs
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with restaurant management team to develop new menu offerings and promotions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and creative plating presentations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food cost control measures and experience managing food budgets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Salary: $1500 per month
*Preference will be given to Kenyan nationals or candidates with legal authorization to work in Clairvaux. English fluency is required.
