Executive Chef - Arabic CuisineJob Description:
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our kitchen, with a focus on Arabic cuisine. This role is based in Manama and offers a competitive salary of 1700$ without accommodation. As an Executive Chef, you will lead a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus and recipes that reflect our restaurant's focus on authentic Arabic cuisine
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Oversee food preparation, portion control, and presentation to maintain high standards
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Order supplies and maintain inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing waste
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events and catered functions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel, with a focus on Arabic cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Arabic cuisine ingredients, techniques, and trends
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and communicate with management
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience working in Bahrain or the Gulf region would be an advantage
