Head Pastry Chef - La Condamine, Monaco
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and supervising all aspects of the pastry department in our high-end restaurant in La Condamine, Monaco. Your main duty will be to prepare and present delicious desserts and pastries that meet our guests' expectations. You must have excellent organizational and leadership skills, as you will be managing a team of pastry cooks and bakers. Your creativity and attention to detail are crucial in developing new recipes and keeping up with current trends. You must also ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1800 per month.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Ability to manage a team of pastry cooks and bakers
- Creative mindset with a passion for desserts and pastries
- Knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for plating and presentation of desserts
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train and communicate with the team
- Food safety certification is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Create new dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Order necessary ingredients and supplies for the pastry department
- Train, supervise, motivate, and evaluate the performance of pastry cooks and bakers
- Develop new recipes while staying up-to-date with current trends in the pastry world
- Ensure all desserts are prepared according to recipes and presented attractively on plates
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry department at all times
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of desserts for events or special occasions
