Blast Furnace Operator


We are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used in the production of iron and steel. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating blast furnaces and possess strong technical knowledge of the steel production process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnaces to ensure efficient production of iron and steel
- Monitor furnace conditions, temperature, pressure, and flow rates
- Adjust furnace controls to maintain desired temperatures and levels of raw materials
- Inspect equipment for any malfunctions or abnormalities and troubleshoot as necessary
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on furnaces as needed
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely production

Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Blast Furnace Operator in the steel industry
- Strong technical knowledge of blast furnace operation and steel production processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Physically fit with the ability to work in a hot and physically demanding environment
- Fluent in English with good communication skills

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month.
