Blast Furnace Operator


A blast furnace operator is responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces, which are used in the production of iron and steel. They work in heavy industrial settings, such as steel mills, and are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the furnace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the temperature, pressure, and flow of gases in the blast furnace
- Load materials such as coal, iron ore, and limestone into the furnace
- Monitor the chemical composition of molten iron and adjust the amount of additives as needed
- Regularly clean and maintain the furnace to ensure smooth operation
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a blast furnace or similar industrial setting preferred
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot and noisy environment
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Eldoret.

Nationality:
Preference will be given to Pakistani candidates. Foreigners with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Language Requirements:
This position requires fluency in English.
