Dietitian - Nutrition Consultant

The role of a dietitian or nutrition consultant is to provide expert advice and guidance on healthy eating habits and nutrition plans. As a dietitian, you will work closely with individuals to assess their dietary needs and develop customized meal plans that meet their specific health goals. You will also educate clients on the importance of proper nutrition, food allergies and intolerances, and how to make healthier food choices. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay up-to-date with current nutritional guidelines and research. This position is based in Oslo, Norway, and candidates with their own visa are preferred.

Salary: $1300 per month

Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments of clients' dietary needs and health goals
- Develop personalized meal plans based on clients' medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural background
- Educate clients on proper nutrition principles, including portion control, balance of macronutrients, and healthy food choices
- Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Stay up-to-date with current research on nutrition and incorporate new findings into practice
- Maintain accurate records of client consultations and progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
- Proven experience as a dietitian or nutrition consultant
- Strong knowledge of nutritional principles and guidelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Attention to detail for accurately assessing client needs and creating tailored meal plans
- Ability to adapt to different cultural backgrounds when developing meal plans for diverse clients
- Familiarity with common medical conditions that can impact dietary needs (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Preference for candidates with their own visa to work in Norway
