Typesetter

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Svalbard. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and laying out text and images for books, magazines, and other print materials. You will work closely with editors, designers, and printers to ensure that the final product is visually appealing and error-free.

Key Responsibilities:
- Format text and images according to established style guidelines
- Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and font usage
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure consistency across multiple pages
- Collaborate with editors to resolve any formatting or content errors
- Work with designers to create visually appealing layouts
- Prepare final files for printing or digital publishing
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and new technologies in typesetting

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Good understanding of typography, design principles, and printing processes
- Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A degree in graphic design or a related field is preferred but not required

This is a part-time position suitable for freshers looking to gain experience in the publishing industry. The salary for this role is $1200 per month.
