A typesetter is responsible for creating and arranging text and images in a visually appealing way for print or digital media. As a typesetter in Svalbard, you will work with a team to produce high-quality publications such as books, magazines, and newspapers.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize design software to format text and images according to project specifications
- Ensure consistency in font style, size, and spacing throughout the publication
- Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure accuracy of content and layout
- Make necessary adjustments to fit text within designated page limits
- Proofread final layouts to identify any errors or inconsistencies
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, or Microsoft Publisher
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of printing processes and requirements for different media formats

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1200 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard, a beautiful archipelago between Norway and the North Pole. While not required, preference will be given to candidates who are willing to relocate.
