Head Chef - Alta, Norway
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at our restaurant in the beautiful city of Alta, Norway. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the kitchen.
- Create and maintain menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and standards.
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain food cost control while ensuring high-quality ingredients are used.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and specials.
- Implement methods to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the kitchen.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food trends.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Certification from a culinary school is preferred but not required.
