Radio Technician

A reputable radio station in Nairobi is seeking a skilled and experienced Radio Technician to join our team. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all technical equipment used for broadcasting. This includes audio consoles, transmitters, satellite receivers, and other related equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair all technical equipment used for broadcasting
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Monitor signal quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure clear transmission
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of equipment during live broadcasts
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Stay up-to-date with new technology trends in the broadcasting industry

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of audio equipment and transmission systems
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and procedures for maintaining broadcast licenses
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve technical issues quickly
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with different teams
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
- Certification or training in radio broadcasting is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radio Technician or similar role

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Nairobi (open to foreigners who are eligible to work in Kenya)

Language Requirement: Must be fluent in English (additional language proficiency is an advantage)
