A computer research scientist is responsible for conducting research and development in the field of computer science. They use their advanced knowledge of computer systems and algorithms to solve complex problems and improve existing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and experiments to develop new computer systems, software, or algorithms
- Analyzing data and information to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Collaborating with other scientists and engineers to design and execute experiments
- Writing code and developing prototypes for new technologies
- Testing and evaluating the performance of new systems or algorithms
- Documenting research findings in technical reports or academic publications
- Staying current with advancements in technology and incorporating them into research projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python
- Experience with data analysis tools such as R or MATLAB
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and artificial intelligence concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: $1400 USD per month (part-time)
Location: Alta, Norway (preference for local candidates but open to international applicants)
