Database Administrator

Our growing company in Sheduva is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. They will also be involved in planning and development of new database systems, as well as maintaining and optimizing existing ones.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and make necessary improvements
- Develop backup and recovery plans
- Troubleshoot database issues
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Collaborate with other teams to design, develop, and implement new databases
- Create data models for new applications
- Train users on how to use the database system effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or other database management systems
- Knowledge of database design principles and data manipulation languages (SQL)
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: $1700 per month

Location: Sheduva, Kenya (Accommodation provided)
