Shaper - Woodworking Specialist


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shaper to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and molding wood using various tools and techniques to create high-quality furniture and other wooden products.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements of each project
- Operate woodworking machinery such as shapers, routers, saws, planers, and sanders
- Use hand tools including chisels, planes, and hand saws to shape and smooth wood surfaces
- Cut, shape, and join wood pieces according to the specifications provided
- Ensure all products meet quality standards by inspecting finished pieces for flaws or defects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Adhere to safety guidelines while operating machinery and handling sharp tools
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shaper or similar role in the woodworking industry
- Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques and machinery operation
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, planes, and saws
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials if necessary

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Nationality/Visa Sponsorship:
Preference will be given to Indian nationals. Visa sponsorship may be provided for qualified candidates.

Accommodation:
