Front-End Developer (Contract) - Svalbard, Norway

As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for our website. You will work closely with our design and development teams to implement their designs and ensure a seamless user experience. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in front-end development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
- Knowledge of responsive design principles
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:
- Translate design mockups into functional websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of their designs
- Optimize website for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve any compatibility issues that arise
- Implement animated elements to enhance user interaction and engagement
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in front-end development
