Librarian (For Non-English Speakers)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, providing assistance to library patrons, and promoting library resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and other resources.
- Catalogue new materials using library classification systems.
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources.
- Promote library resources and services through outreach programs and social media.
- Develop and implement programs and events to engage the community with the library.
- Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and other data.
- Train new staff members on library procedures and policies.
- Ensure that all materials are properly shelved and easy for patrons to find.
- Keep up-to-date with new developments in the field of librarianship.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Previous experience working as a librarian or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patrons from diverse backgrounds, including non-native English speakers.
- Experience using library databases, cataloging systems, and other technology used in libraries.
- Knowledge of different languages is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary: $1000 per month
Location: Jerusalem
Employment Type: Contract (with possibility for permanent employment)
