Seasonal Executive Chef - Karachi, Pakistan
We are in search of a talented and creative Executive Chef to join our team for a seasonal position in the vibrant city of Karachi, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and be able to lead our kitchen team in creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Create new menus and dishes that reflect local and seasonal ingredients.
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to company standards and recipes.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or themed menus.
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines set by the company.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role.
- Creative mindset with a passion for using fresh, local ingredients.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Understanding of food cost control measures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification from a culinary school preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with Pakistani cuisine preferred but not required.
Salary: $1700 per month (tax-free)
