Excavator Operator

An established construction company in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate, grade and level construction sites, as well as load and unload materials. This is a contract position with the potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery on construction sites
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine excavation requirements
- Dig trenches, ditches, and foundations according to project specifications
- Load and unload materials from trucks using the excavator
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an excavator
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in a construction setting
- Physical ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating other heavy machinery such as bulldozers or backhoes
- Knowledge of basic mechanical repairs for equipment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

Salary:
Starting salary is $1200 per week with the potential for overtime pay.
