Librarian - Utena, Lithuania


We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Librarian to join our team in Utena, Lithuania. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting library services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Develop and implement cataloging systems to effectively organize materials
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing information both in-person and online
- Provide reference services by answering inquiries and conducting research for patrons
- Plan and implement programming events such as book clubs, author visits, and workshops
- Promote library services through outreach efforts such as social media, flyers, and community events
- Train new staff members on library procedures and policies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification
- Familiarity with online databases and research tools
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist diverse patrons of all ages
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed

Salary:
This is a full-time position offering a salary of $1200 per month.
