Radio Technician
We are in need of a skilled Radio Technician to join our team in Os. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing radio communication systems and equipment. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, performing regular maintenance checks, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of radio technology and be able to work with various radio systems and equipment. You must also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently. Physical strength and dexterity are also important as the job may require lifting and climbing.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair radio communication systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Keep detailed records of all work performed
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for complex problems
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working on equipment
- Stay updated on advancements in radio technology
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Strong understanding of radio technology and equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good physical strength and dexterity
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of safety protocols for working with electronic equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics or related field
- Certification from a recognized institution in radio technology
- Experience working with specific types of radio systems (e.g., two-way radios, satellite communications)
